Alumina fiber is widely used in many fields such as national defense, aerospace, thermal engineering, and power transmission. In the aerospace field, continuous alumina fiber is used to make large-area insulation, high-temperature wave transmission, engine combustion chambers and other components. In the thermal field, it can be used to make high-temperature furnace curtains, substrates, and high-temperature sealing gaskets.

The research team has built an engineering development line for three types of alumina fiber products in Jiading District, Shanghai, delivering hundreds of kilograms of products to the outside world, establishing fiber preparation and inspection specifications, and incorporating them into quality system management.
