Pan-Asia door and cover CAE technology has always been at the leading level in the fields of rigidity, modal, strength, etc. However, with the continuous deepening of global development, global technology competition continues to intensify, safety performance requirements continue to increase, and virtual analysis and simulation requirements increase., the original technical capabilities are no longer able to meet the needs of lean product development. These restrictions mainly include:
- Lack of CAE analysis capabilities for door opening and closing durability
- Analysis and development capabilities of complex global pedestrian protection requirements need to be improved
- Lack of multi-physical field coupled CAE analysis capabilities
- CAE analysis and design improvement are relatively inefficient
- A single-dimensional CAE technology evaluation system
Regarding the above issues, there are still few relevant domestic research, and global companies such as General Motors (GM) are still in their infancy. Through independent research and development, Pan Asia has overcome internationally recognized technical capabilities and global technical difficulties such as durability of openers and closures, multi-coupled CAE analysis, and pedestrian protection research. With system innovation, it has broken through the limitations of traditional CAE technology systems and independently established a complete set of internationally advanced vehicle openers and closures. The CAE advanced simulation technology development system and related technologies have been applied in local independently developed projects such as PanAsia New Sail and New Yinglang, as well as some global development projects such as Xinweilang and Junyue.

- The first multi-physical field coupled analysis capability for door cover in China: Starting from the CAE parameter test of mechanical characteristics of shock-absorbing rubber, we independently developed a shock-absorbing rubber material model, and first established a multi-physical field coupled CAE analysis method for door cover viscoelastic materials in China.
- Improve advanced CAE analysis capabilities that combine pedestrian protection safety performance integration with structural analysis methods: Through a series of research, CAE analysis methods and capabilities that meet the requirements of global pedestrian protection regulations have been established and improved. Reach the level of analysis that can cover global regulations and internationally leading.
- Independently developed the only domestic front and rear cover clearance fit optimization software "P-fit": transformed the door cover assembly adjustment process into an optimization problem, independently realized mathematical modeling and optimization solution, and developed Pan Asia's independent intellectual property rights. It is the only domestic and internationally first-class front and rear cover clearance fit optimization software.
- Independently realize CAE analysis automation and design knowledge management systematization: Independently develop automation tools, build a design knowledge management system for the first time, greatly improve the efficiency of door and cover CAE analysis and design improvement, and help product teams create industry-competitive designs within limited development time. Plan, reaching the domestic leading level.
- Build a leading domestic advanced simulation technology system for door cover CAE: Establish a new five-dimensional CAE capability evaluation mechanism including "accuracy","standardization","analysis efficiency","design knowledge", and "target value" to drive the door cover CAE capabilities have developed rolling and maintained the domestic leading level. It is also highly praised and promoted and used within the General Motors system.

In terms of project application, the results of this project have been applied to all door cover development projects in Pan-Asia, which has generated direct economic benefits of 30.59 million yuan. In the future, we will continue to support the lean development of subsequent door cover products.
