CryoMan-SMR™ is a new natural gas liquefaction process. Compared with traditional mixed refrigerant processes, it has significant advantages in plant energy consumption and operating flexibility. This process can be widely used in natural gas liquefaction, it can adapt to different gas compositions and has very competitive power consumption levels.
The CryoMan-SMR™ Alliance provides customers with technology evaluation licenses and technology development licenses. After obtaining the license, customers will receive PIL's technical support in process design. In the CryoMan-SMR™ process, pretreated natural gas is cooled by different mixed refrigerant streams in a cold box and liquefied into the final LNG product.
Taking advantage of the high efficiency characteristics of this process to produce more LNG products can bring considerable economic benefits. For a liquefaction plant with an annual output of 1 million tons of LNG, the CryoMan-SMR™ process can increase LNG production by up to 9% while consuming the same compressor shaft work, which will bring an additional US$105 million in annual revenue to the company.
