Municipal underground space is an important part of municipal infrastructure. Underground tunnels, common ditches, power tunnels, underground comprehensive transportation, etc. bring convenience to people's production and life. However, its structure is complex, the environment is relatively closed, the traffic volume is large, and the heat is not easy to dissipate. Once a fire breaks out, it is difficult to put out, and it will cause serious harm to people's lives and property, causing huge social impact and economic losses.
While underground space engineering is developing rapidly, my country is relatively backward in terms of fire safety and has many shortcomings. It is far behind with developed countries in the world. Relevant design codes such as the national "Fire Protection Code for Architectural Design","Highway Tunnel Design Code" and Shanghai "Road Tunnel Design Code" is only for tunnels and cannot cover other forms of municipal underground space. It has great limitations and cannot complete fire protection design for various types of municipal underground space projects. At the same time, there is a lack of understanding of the current domestic and international advanced fire protection technology, blindness in system selection, and lack of systematic research and professional technology, which is not conducive to the improvement of professional level and engineering technology level. Therefore, the research on this project is carried out.

  1. Summarize and refine the fire classification technology for large municipal underground spaces to achieve the functional requirements for adaptive classification of fire protection facilities
    According to the use function, it is the first to divide the types of municipal underground spaces into underground spaces with municipal transportation functions, underground spaces with passage supporting functions, and underground spaces with municipal pipeline service functions. Classify the application of relevant fire-fighting facilities from the perspective of three types of municipal underground spaces, and make reasonable suggestions on the selection of three types of underground space fire protection systems.
  2. Optimization technology for fire protection system in large municipal underground spaces
    This project conducts in-depth research on various types of equipment and their selection of the fire protection system, and the layout of the fire protection water and drainage system. At the same time, it compiles and summarizes many examples of different types of municipal underground spaces, optimizes parameters and layout forms for different systems., and through test verification, it is safe, economical, energy-saving, environmentally friendly, and achieves green fire protection, providing reference and reference for design work and further development research.
  3. Establish a complete man-machine linkage system
    For the first time, a complete fire protection system for traffic channels has been summarized and provided for the first time, which can effectively and quickly respond to emergencies in various municipal underground spaces and complete fire fighting.
    In response to fires in underground spaces of municipal transportation functions, comprehensive monitoring and joint control are proposed to detect abnormal conditions such as fires early, and timely remedial measures are taken to reduce the damage caused by fires.
    For the first time, an improved water-formed film foam sprinkler fire extinguishing system for use in dangerous places prone to gasoline and other chemical fires such as municipal transportation function underground spaces is proposed. It can effectively reduce the cost and maintenance workload of the existing technology, and reduce the impact of large obstacles on fire detection and extinguishing.
  4. Optimization technology of water supply and drainage system in municipal underground space
    The underground space water supply and drainage system is optimized from aspects such as water supply safety, metering, layout of water use points, optimization of drainage pump rooms and drainage outlets, and pipe selection.
