

This project belongs to the intersection of chemical industry and polymer materials.
As the fastest-growing variety of the five major general plastics, polypropylene currently has an apparent consumption of nearly 4 million tons per year in China. It is widely used in the automotive industry, household appliances, electronics, packaging, building materials and furniture. However, due to its poor transparency, easy brittle fracture at low temperatures, and large shrinkage, its application in a wider range of fields has been affected. Studies have shown that isotactic polypropylene has five different crystal structures: α, β, γ, δ and pseudo-hexagonal. The differences in crystal micro-nano structures have a significant impact on the macro-mechanical and optical properties of the material. Organic small molecules can regulate the micro-nano structure of polypropylene, and then regulate the macro properties of polypropylene. At present, the use of small molecules to regulate the properties of polypropylene has become a simple and effective method for high-performance polypropylene.
Based on the regulation process and mechanism of small molecule nucleating agents on polypropylene micro-nano structures, the technical invention creatively designed an asymmetric sorbitol transparent nucleating agent and a new efficient beta crystal nucleating agent in terms of molecular structure. In terms of preparation methods, a one-step synthesis process of organic phosphate metal salts and a solid-phase synthesis technology of sorbitol nucleating agents are invented; in terms of improving the dispersibility of nucleating agents, a nucleating agent ultra-refinement technology is invented; On this basis, a technology for preparing polypropylene special materials with high transparency, high heat resistance, high rigidity and high toughness was developed. In order to balance the rigidity and toughness of polypropylene, a technology was invented to control the macrorigidity and toughness of polypropylene using an α/β composite nucleating agent.
The main innovative results of this project are as follows:
(1)In order to develop new and efficient polypropylene nucleating agents, an asymmetric sorbitol polypropylene nucleating agent with intramolecular synergy and a new efficient polypropylene beta crystal nucleating agent were creatively designed in terms of molecular structure;(CN1840532, ZL200610118073.6)
(2)In order to reduce production costs and reduce three wastes in the production process, a one-step process for synthesizing substituted diaryl organic phosphate metal salts was invented in terms of the preparation method for the substituted diaryl organic phosphate nucleating agent with excellent rigidity enhancing properties, replacing the traditional three-step process, the yield increased from the original 65% to 86%;(CN1358728A)
(3)Aiming at the shortcomings of uneven dispersion of organic phosphate nucleating agents in polypropylene and low nucleation efficiency, a super-refining method for organic phosphate was invented;(ZL 1687201A)
(4)In order to balance the rigidity and toughness of polypropylene, a method was invented to control the rigidity and toughness of polypropylene using α/β composite nucleating agents;(ZL201010574151.X)
(5)In order to guide the design and development of organic small molecule nucleating agents, the process, kinetics and mechanism of nucleating agent-induced nucleation and crystallization of polypropylene were studied, and the crystal structure matching rule between efficient nucleating agents and polypropylene was proposed.
This project has independent intellectual property rights, applied for 5 national patents, 3 authorizations, published more than 20 SCI and EI papers, and the articles were cited more than 200 times; scientific and technological novelty searches and user reports pointed out that the overall level of the project has reached international advanced. This technology has now been transferred to Shanghai Kesu Polymer Materials Co., Ltd., Shanghai Shenglin New Material Technology Co., Ltd. and Bengbu Aimo Fine Chemicals Co., Ltd., and has developed high-efficiency organic small molecule nucleating agents NA-40 and NA-S20 series products and technologies, and has achieved industrial production. The products are exported to Europe, the United States, Southeast Asia and other countries; the high-efficiency beta polypropylene nucleating agents PA-01 and PA-03 have completed pilot trials and have been promoted and applied in a small scale, with excellent results. At the same time, Sinopec Jiujiang Branch and Yangzi Petrochemical Company used the nucleating agent developed by them to produce special polypropylene materials, and the effect reached the level of imported similar products.
The highly transparent, highly rigid and toughened polypropylene materials prepared using this technology have the characteristics of low cost and excellent performance, and are widely used in pipes, outdoor facilities, packaging, daily necessities, and office supplies. In the past three years, the cumulative new output value of polyolefin production enterprises has been 790 million yuan and the new profits and taxes have been 177 million yuan, which has greatly promoted the development and technological progress of related industries.
