

Homopoly-N-vinyl butyrolactam, or PVP for short, is the product with the highest gold content in the field of water-soluble polymer PVP. Due to its unique physical and chemical properties and physiological inertness, its application research in the field of new pharmaceutical sustained release agents is in the ascendant. However, in view of its high thermal sensitivity, poor thermal conductivity, easy oxidation of end groups, unstable properties, easy yellowing and discoloring, and easy chain breaking of molecules, there is no breakthrough in its dry granulation technology in the world.
Ultra-high molecular weight PVP began to be developed domestically in the 1990s, but the core technology has always been in the hands of BASF and ISP. In order to realize their monopoly profits, BASF and ISP have always kept their dry granulation methods secret, and relevant information cannot be consulted from any literature; now the world's PVPK consumption in 1990 is about 5000T;BASF accounts for about 60%;ISP accounts for about 30-35%; Japan has about 5% of the enzyme (but Japan's enzyme processing is not up to standard, and the K value of its products degrades rapidly, and the measured value is often only K75-K78, so it is not K90 in the strict sense).
Our company first used our own segmented high-temperature post-polymerization method combined with the selection of composite initiation systems to prepare ultra-high molecular weight polymer solution, and then boldly broke through conventional drying methods (spray drying, box drying, freeze drying, vacuum belt drying, etc.), using the new patented technology applied by our company: the innovative composite binary drying process of vacuum distillation + electromagnetic microwave radiation drying to dry the material with molecular chain protection to obtain a lumpy transparent solid. Then, after crushing, crushing, and sieving, PVPK90-K100 powder was prepared, and then selectively packed according to different mesh sizes. Finally, high-quality products with high K value, narrow molecular weight distribution, high water solubility, stable properties and long storage life were obtained.
This product has been recognized and ordered by high-end European customers led by INOESSILICA. This is the world's first high-tech PVP product to date that surpasses BASF and ISP products. It has made a good start for the development of China's national water-soluble polymers in the high-end market in Europe and the United States, and has won glory for the national industry. This project is independently developed by our company.
