

The project belongs to the cross-integration discipline of regional environment, software engineering, and data processing. Addressing climate change, energy conservation and emission reduction are hot topics of common concern to the government, society and academia in the current process of globalization. Among them, carbon emissions and its closely related issues such as energy environment, technology industry, economy and society are very important and complex. Using big data ideas and technologies to aggregate data, establish connections, deeply explore, form knowledge, and effectively display is an important way to solve the above problems. With the help of major topics such as my country's 863 program ldquo; Global Carbon Monitoring Scientific Experimental Satellite (TanSat Satellite) and the Chinese Academy of Sciences pilot special project ldquo; Carbon Emissions Budget and Expenditure Certification for Climate Change (Carbon Special Project) rdquo;, the project team innovatively proposed ldquo; Carbon Emissions Big Data Systemrdquo; concept, planned and won support from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the National Nature Administration, the Municipal Science and Technology Commission, etc. After several years of construction, the system construction and development have been completed, making positive contributions to providing China data, proposing China methods, and forming China opinions. Technological innovations are as follows: 1. Innovatively independently develop and complete the carbon emission big data system to provide the country with an integrated research platform for carbon emission monitoring, accounting, evaluation, and emission reduction measures. Integrate data from carbon projects and national carbon satellites to form a diversified basic database for carbon emission monitoring; provide unified data sources and processing standards for carbon accounting and evaluation, solve data benchmark problems in each link, and achieve seamless connection of the entire chain of carbon emission accounting; Through the construction of the integrated carbon monitoring system, the basic data acquisition ability to independently verify carbon accounting results has been initially formed. 2. Take the lead in systematically carrying out research on refined carbon emission accounting and low-carbon assessment based on measured data in our country by regions, energy, and industry. It is the first to obtain an emission factor database representing more than 95% of my country's fossil energy consumption based on the carbon special project, and continues to calculate emissions between provinces and cities, coal, oil and gas, and 15 major industries; form global and my country's trade carbon footprint calculation results; build thermal power, steel,,, energy flow and low-carbon technology evaluation model system in key industries such as cement and coal chemicals; form a low-carbon assessment research system for nearly 300 cities in my country. 3. Build an integrated carbon monitoring system focusing on Shanghai and facing the world, and expand the responsibility of off-site backup and distribution of TanSat satellite data, promoting the application of data from my country's first carbon monitoring satellite. Relying on cloud platform technology, Japan's GOSAT and the United States 'OCO-2 carbon monitoring satellite data were initially used to form a carbon monitoring network including the 632-meter-tall tower station of the Shanghai Center Building through self-construction and joint construction; subsequently, the carbon satellite data platform and other tasks such as the National 13th Five-Year Plan Carbon Emissions Observation and Data Research Platform increased the number of satellites in the monitoring system to three. The project builds a multi-source data system such as carbon satellites, observation stations, and economic statistics, builds a full information chain for carbon data acquisition, transmission, storage, calculation, and application, and forms an original, multi-level, space-integrated carbon database and analysis and display system; Formed 3 soft works, 10 papers and 2 monographs, won the gold medal of the China International Industry Expo. In response to major national concerns such as ensuring the security of carbon satellite data backup and distribution, international climate change negotiations and the construction of a national trading carbon market, it has achieved good results in the application of the National Remote Sensing Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange, and Songjiang District, and has been inspected and guided by many national and provincial and ministerial leaders; hosted international influential conferences such as the Oriental Science and Technology Forum ldquo; attended by scientists from 8 countries; the International Symposium on Next Generation Carbon Monitoring Satellites rdquo; to expand domestic and foreign cooperation; the promotion of this system will be expected to promote the development of industries such as Shanghai and national satellites, big data, energy and carbon finance, and serve the construction of science and technology innovation centers with global influence.
