This project mainly includes two aspects: shape control and quality improvement. Shape control mainly involves strip slippage, deviation, sickle-bend, cocked button head, wedge shape, etc.; quality improvement mainly includes width control and surface defect control. This project is to improve and improve the operating experience and methods of operators, and organically combine them with process control models and equipment control technology to make the rolling process and quality control more stable. Key innovations include:
- Developed rough rolling strip shape control technology. The automatic slip control technology for roughing mill was pioneered, which realized automatic adjustment of rolling mill speed and roll gap when slip occurred, and reduced steel sticking and shutdown accidents caused by slip; The correction and sickle-bend control technology for rough rolling intermediate billet was pioneered. It not only utilizes the function of side guide plates controlled by servo valves before and after the horizontal rolling mill to detect pressure changes and horizontal rolling mill hydraulic press-up devices can adjust roll gaps at any time. The side guide plates detect the change in pressure to determine which direction the intermediate billet is deviated, and then activate the hydraulic press-up device to adjust the roll gap to achieve correction and sickle-bend elimination; It is the first to realize the small wedge shape of hot rolled strip steel by controlling the accuracy of raw material size, standardizing the heating system, adopting appropriate roll shapes, improving the level of rolling control technology, and improving the accuracy of equipment management. By installing a warped button head detection device between and above the roller table, automatic detection of warped button heads is realized, and a method of distinguishing strip steel drawn from different heating furnaces is adopted, which effectively improves the warped button heads of strip steel and reduces the occurrence of faults; Strip image correction methods, insulation cover anti-collision methods and roll protection methods have been developed to reduce the frequency of accidents and accident losses.
- A quadratic curve width control model has been developed. When using the quadratic curve model to control the narrowing of the head and tail of the strip, it is more consistent with the rolling deformation of the head and tail of the strip than the broken line model, thereby making the control process smoother. More importantly, when the tail of the strip is excessively wide, the tail retracting and shortening stroke curve is used to control, which effectively solves the problem of excessively wide the tail of the strip. After adopting this technology, the width control accuracy is improved;
- The vertical roll water blocking and oiling device has been designed and installed, which effectively solves the black line and skin warping defects during the rolling process of silicon steel, and greatly reduces burr blocking; by improving the internal cooling and external cooling cooling methods, and adopting concave-convex combined pinch roll roll shape and other technologies, the roll surface of the inlet and outlet pinch roll has been effectively improved, its service life has been extended, and the scratch defect of the pinch roll on silicon steel has been eliminated.
This project is applied to the hot rolling plant of Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., reducing quality degradation and creating an annual efficiency of 6.2354 million yuan, reducing roll consumption and creating an efficiency of 3.5823 million yuan, reducing fault downtime and creating an efficiency of 8.0036 million yuan, and reducing cutting loss and creating an efficiency of 1.68427 million yuan. From 2012 to 2014, a total benefit of 58.5167 million yuan was generated.
This project includes 5 authorized invention patent technologies, 9 utility model patents, and 41 technical secrets. The roll protection method of this project has been extended to Shanghai 1780 Stainless Steel Hot Rolling Plant; vertical roll water retaining device, rough rolling plate shape adjustment method, and high-speed steel roll use method have been promoted to the 1780 production lines and 1422 production lines of Meigang Hot Rolling Plant, producing annual economic benefits of 10.8867 million yuan.
