Key innovations
The technology optimizes magnetic polymer coagulant, significantly improves decolorization and turbidity removal efficiency and sedimentation rate of reclaimed water, doubles the amount of treated water, and reduces cost by 50%.
Potential economic benefits
This green technology product can significantly increase water treatment capacity and save about 50% of the cost of water treatment equipment, thus bringing considerable economic benefits.
Potential climate benefits
This technology efficiently treats wastewater and realizes recycled water instead of fresh water for landscape use, directly reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions during fresh water treatment and transportation. The material sedimentation rate has more than doubled, which has greatly increased the amount of water treated by water treatment equipment, reduced energy consumption, and reduced the carbon footprint per unit of water treatment.

Solution details

In view of the low efficiency of denitrification and phosphorus removal and the lack of decoloring and turbidity removal capabilities, we integrate advanced and mature technologies at home and abroad, especially the relevant results of the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" water special project, and focus on breaking through the "chromaticity, turbidity, etc. that restrict recycled water as landscape water." bottleneck ". Based on the research on magnetic polymer coagulants during the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan", a series of materials were synthesized through the adjustment and optimization of monomers, crosslinkers, porogens and inorganic materials to further improve the mechanical strength, sedimentation rate and regeneration properties of the materials. As the amount of magnetic iron oxide increases, the color of the resin becomes darker, and the magnetic iron oxide loaded on the resin is more evenly dispersed in the resin. By comparing resins with different amounts of magnetic materials, it was found that with the increase of the amount of magnetic iron oxide, the sedimentation rate of the resin increased. When the amount of magnetic iron oxide reaches 40g, the sedimentation rate is equivalent to that of MIEX resin (18m/h); when the amount reaches 50g, the sedimentation rate is already better than that of MIEX (20m/h). Compared with the materials developed during the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" period, the sedimentation rate of this material has more than doubled. This result means that the amount of water treated by a single module of magnetic resin coagulation equipment has more than doubled, which can greatly increase the amount of water treated and save water. The cost of water treatment equipment is approximately 50%.
