Key innovations
The innovation lies in the first submarine data center integrating natural seawater cooling and offshore wind power, with PUE≤1.1, achieving high efficiency, energy conservation, water conservation and land conservation.
Potential economic benefits
Significantly reduce energy consumption (more than 30%), water consumption (saving 30,000 tons/MW annually) and land occupation (saving 90%), significantly reduce operating costs, and improve return on investment.
Potential climate benefits
PUE≤1.1, more than 95% of green electricity utilization and natural seawater cooling, directly and significantly reduce energy consumption and fossil fuel emissions, which is more than 30% more energy-saving than traditional ones. Save 90% of land and indirectly reduce carbon sink losses and construction emissions.

Solution details
Seawater is used to achieve natural cooling of the data center throughout the year, integrating many technological innovations such as gravity heat pipes, sea water pump frequency conversion, and air conditioning group control. The submarine data center is mainly divided into four groups: shore station base, submarine optoelectronic composite cable, substation and data cabin. The first integrated development technology for submarine data centers and offshore wind power is created through multi-system integration design, construction, operation and maintenance to create a new digital infrastructure with direct green power supply, joint construction and common maintenance, coordination of computing and power, and natural cooling.
The power utilization efficiency of the data center is PUE≤1.1; the utilization efficiency of fresh water resources is WUE≈0; and the utilization rate of green electricity is ≥95%.
Compared with traditional data centers, it saves more than 30% of energy; it uses natural seawater cooling and does not consume fresh water, saving approximately 30,000 tons/MW of water annually; onshore facilities cover a small area, saving 90% of land compared with traditional data centers.
