In the past ten years, domestic stainless steel production has developed rapidly, especially the production of stainless steel plates has continued to expand. Among them, the tempering unit and the bright annealing unit are important units for the production of stainless steel plates, and are also important production links to ensure and improve the quality of stainless steel plates. At present, the market share of stainless steel temper mills worldwide is mainly occupied by foreign companies such as French DMS, German SUNDWIG, SMS, VAI/CLECIM, DANIELI/FROHLING, and I2S. The bright annealing units are also mainly occupied by companies such as French DMS, German EBNER, and Japanese Sino-foreign furnaces. Large-scale domestic stainless steel enterprises basically use imported skin tempering units and bright annealing units.
In order to break the monopoly of foreign technology, this topic conducts research and development on the production equipment of stainless steel plate finishing equipment, smoothing unit and bright annealing unit and related process technology and control technology. The stainless steel tempering unit is mainly composed of equipment in the inlet section, process section and outlet section, as well as auxiliary systems and other equipment. In the equipment research and development of the temper mill, the focus was on the layout of the work roll balance cylinder of the leveling machine, the work roll wiper and supporting dust removal system, the work roll transmission method, the winder drum form suitable for high-tension stainless steel leveling, and the winder anti-wrinkle roll arrangement, strip cleaning device, the flattening roll arrangement of the paper pad machine and the hydraulic push-up system of the temper mill have been developed and innovated, which have solved the problem of strip wrinkles (orange peel), multiple winding folds, There are many problems such as frequent failures in the balance pipeline of work rolls, and high waste or degraded products occur due to poor paper padding. The successful application of this topic has achieved the first domestic research and development of stainless steel temper mills. In terms of equipment manufacturing, all main equipment is domestically manufactured. During unit acceptance, many indicators exceeded the assessment values, reaching the international advanced level.
Innovative development of a series of production processes and equipment such as upper and lower unwinding has been implemented on the bright annealing unit. At the same time, the control technology of the entire unit has been mastered and a series of innovations have been carried out, improving the ability of independent integration.
This project has applied for 16 patents (including 3 invention patents), and 13 have been authorized. The lighting and smoothing unit put into operation not only produces top-level stainless steel BA plate products stably in batches, but also performs well in the production of zero-defect products required by downstream customers. At present, many steel companies are already making inquiries or contacts with Baosteel Engineering and will compete with world-renowned suppliers. At the same time, with the new round of strategic development requirements of Baosteel Stainless Steel Company, a new temper mill project will also be implemented. This project has significant economic and social benefits and has broad prospects for promotion and application.
