Solution details

Waste treatment technology for plasma is a new type of waste thermal treatment technology. Compared with traditional incineration methods, this technology has the advantages of compact treatment equipment structure, high treatment temperature, small exhaust gas volume, and extremely low secondary pollution. This technology uses arc plasma with high enthalpy and active chemical properties as a heat source to completely plan the organic matter in the waste into combustible small molecule syngas to achieve significant volume reduction and harmlessness of the waste. The syngas can be filtered to produce steam, internal combustion engine power generation or reuse. This project has established and developed an experimental equipment for processing 40-50kg of plasma-treated ship waste per hour, and developed practical equipment for processing 20-30kg per hour based on experiments.

Plasma technology is used to treat solid waste. Because the plasma has high energy and high density, the pyrolysis reaction can be quickly completed in a short time, reducing many problems that easily occur in traditional pyrolysis, such as low gas production rate and mixture. At the same time, the degradation of garbage is more complete and the degree of pollution to the environment is reduced.

Innovation points:

1) Explore a new type of plasma waste treatment technology, which can greatly improve the efficiency of waste treatment while reducing energy consumption;

2) Research on insulation methods will further reduce heat loss: the waste preheating process can adopt two methods: contact heating and non-contact heating. The former uses high-temperature hot air generated by waste heat to directly contact the waste to preheat the waste, and the latter uses heat exchangers to indirectly preheat the waste; contact heating can be used when the treatment process requires combustion-supporting air, and non-contact heating can be used when syngas products with specific compositions are needed;

3) A waste gas reflux path is designed to also recycle part of the waste heat.

Application situation or application prospects: This project is applicable to the needs of handling ship waste during ship navigation.
