The Shanghai City Transportation Planning Model established more than 20 current situation and planning model databases, combined with big data and traditional traffic survey data, carried out comprehensive verification and expansion, calibrated model parameters, compiled model calculation programs, and carried out model verification and debugging, forming two sets of model results of current situation simulation and planning prediction. The model modules mainly include: basic database platform, transportation network cost model, travel generation model, travel distribution model, travel mode selection model, traffic flow and passenger flow allocation model, etc. The model covers four main functions: urban and transportation planning evaluation, transportation demand management policy evaluation, urban and transportation facility construction evaluation, and transportation operation management evaluation. It can be used as a quantitative analysis of various projects such as urban master planning, detailed planning, and urban transportation planning. Analytical tools provide data support for scientific decision-making of planning and management plans.
