Motor manufacturing industry. IE4 energy efficiency rated motors are divided into three-phase asynchronous motors (power range 0.55kW~ 1000kW) and three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors (power range 0.55kW~ 90kW), which can be used in conjunction with fans, water pumps, compressors, machine tools and other equipment. It has good interchangeability with Y, Y2, Y3, YE2, YX3 and YE3 series motor products.

3.1 technical principle

IE4 efficiency motors reach the second-level energy efficiency in the "Energy Efficiency Limits and Energy Efficiency Levels for Motors"(GB 18613-2020), which is about 5.4% more efficient than the currently commonly used Y-series motors in China. Through new windings, reasonable selection of design technologies such as cold-rolled silicon steel sheets and permanent magnet materials, as well as key processes such as core processing technology and rotor processing technology to reduce motor losses, the development of series of products below motors that meet the IE4 efficiency standard level has been achieved. It includes YZTE4 series (IP55) cast copper rotor three-phase asynchronous motors, YE4 series (IP55) three-phase asynchronous motors, and TYE4 series (IP55) self-starting permanent magnet synchronous motors.

Compared with similar foreign products, IE4 efficiency motor series products have a larger power range, a wider frame range and a complete number of poles.

4. Energy conservation and greenhouse gas emission reduction effects

At present, the average efficiency of most motors in use in my country is about 87.62%, and the average efficiency of IE4 efficiency class motors reaches 93.06%, an increase of 5.44%. Calculated based on 20 million kW and an annual operating time of 5000 hours, it can save 6.672 billion kWh annually, equivalent to saving 820,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 3.805 million tons.

5. Technology demonstration

This technical achievement has been promoted and transferred to 32 manufacturing companies in the motor industry, 6 professional manufacturing companies of punched core and 3 professional manufacturing companies of cast copper rotors, and a production capacity of more than 20 million kW has been formed; 23 sets of energy-saving renovation equipment for enterprises in Shanghai City have been completed; Testing and comparison were carried out on the 40T punch press of Haiguang Group's production equipment. YZTE4 - 112M-4, 4kW cast copper rotor three-phase asynchronous motor and Y112M-4 three-phase asynchronous motor were tested for actual operation energy consumption, and the power saving rate reached 5.56%; A test comparison was carried out on the drag end-suction centrifugal pump in the southern pump industry. The actual operation energy consumption test was carried out between YE4 - 160L-2, 18.5kW three-phase asynchronous motor and YE2 - 160L-2 three-phase asynchronous motor, and the power saving rate reached 5.4%.

IE4 motor is simple and convenient to use and maintain, and its service life can generally reach 20 years.

Operation and maintenance costs, labor costs (wages), equipment depreciation, repair costs, management fees and other maintenance costs are the same as ordinary Y, Y2, YX3, YE2 and other series motors, and no additional expenses are required.

Taking the YE4 - 160L-2 and 18.5kW electric motors as examples, compared with the original YE2 - 160L-2, the effective cost of the motor increases by about 1600 yuan/unit. Based on 5000 hours of operation every year, electricity consumption can be reduced by 4995 kWh. The electricity bill is calculated at 0.5 yuan/kWh, and the investment cost can be recovered in 8 months.

8. Prospects for transformation and promotion of technological achievements

IE4 efficiency motors have good interchangeability with the commonly used Y, Y2, Y3, YE2, YX3 and YE3 series three-phase asynchronous motors on the market. At present, the installed capacity of existing motors in my country is 2.5 billion kW. The market share of high-efficiency motors is still relatively small, and the prospects for technology promotion are broad.
