As a key component of the automobile powertrain, automobile clutch has the functions of ensuring a smooth start of the vehicle, smooth shifting and preventing overload of the transmission system. It is limited by factors such as design space size, product weight and processing and manufacturing technology. It is recognized by the automobile industry as an important component with high technical content and difficulty in manufacturing. With the rapid development of the domestic automobile industry, the market demand for automobile clutches is growing and the requirements are getting higher and higher. Domestic clutch companies are facing increasing opportunities and challenges. Clutch design often relies on long-term development of experience and technology, making the initial development of products fall into inertia thinking, often with conservative structures and similar performance. However, when faced with harsh technical environments or higher driving comfort requirements, products lack competitiveness. At present, companies that master the core clutch technology in the world mainly include Schaeffler, Valeo, etc. How to break the monopoly of foreign core technologies has become a difficult problem that domestic automobile clutch companies must face at present.
With the support of Tongji University and Shanghai Sachs Powertrain Components Systems Co., Ltd., industry-university-research cooperation project, by deeply exploring the respective advantages of universities and enterprises, breaking the traditional clutch design concept, a series of automotive large-angle clutch products suitable for new requirements have been developed. At the same time, in line with the current development needs of new energy vehicles, a wet dual clutch suitable for use in hybrid vehicle transmission system devices has been designed and developed and applied to hybrid drives. The main work contents of this project include:

  1. A new type of vibration damping device for large angle clutch driven disk has been designed and developed. The new large-angle torsional damper breaks the conservative structural design concept and has the advantages of large forward and reverse working angles, multi-stage vibration damping performance, etc. The multi-stage vibration damping has its own independent pressure sources and damping plates, and the torsional damper parameters can be easily adjusted. The new large-angle clutch torsional damper can achieve the same vibration damping effect as the dual-mass flywheel torsional damper, fundamentally optimizing the vibration and noise quality of the vehicle's powertrain system;
  2. Design and develop a new wet dual clutch. The wet dual clutch uses the deformation of the diaphragm spring to transmit the pressing force. Compared with traditional hydraulic control to transmit the pressing force, it has a faster response speed when shifting gears, is easy to install in structure, and has good reliability and fatigue durability. The wet dual clutch has the function of adjusting the lever ratio of the diaphragm spring, which can effectively match the powertrain system, realize rapid shifting and effectively reduce the impact caused during the shifting process.
  3. Creatively develop a hybrid drive device based on a wet dual clutch automatic transmission. The designed and developed dual clutch is applied to a hybrid drive device based on a dual clutch automatic transmission. By cooperating with the wet dual clutch, sixteen working modes of the hybrid power device can be realized, which can effectively improve the power and economy of the vehicle. Performance such as sex and emissions;
  4. Establish a complete set of forward development and design processes and methods for clutch products. On the premise of meeting various performance requirements of the vehicle, with the goal of achieving optimal vibration and noise quality of the vehicle powertrain, a complete clutch active design optimization process is formed through a combination of virtual design methods and experimental verification, which can shorten the product development cycle and greatly reduce the clutch development cost.
    At present, this project has authorized 4 invention patents, 6 utility model patents, accepted and conducted substantive review of 3 invention patents, published 11 major related academic papers, and obtained 4 national computer software copyrights. Through industry-university-research cooperation projects between enterprises and universities, we actively promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. Clutch products are mainly used for domestic complete vehicle and engine factories such as SAIC General Motors, Jiangling Motors, SAIC General Motors, Dong 'an. In the past three years, we have sold more than 120,000 sets of clutches for large-angle clutches and hybrid power plants. In the past three years, the company's added output value of more than 30 million yuan. The clutch products designed and developed have excellent customer evaluations and have wide market application prospects.
