Key innovations
The key "point" of high-efficiency catalyst synthesis was broken through and a new nickel-based multi-element alloy catalytic layer was built, which effectively increased the working current density and reduced the hydrogen evolution potential.
Potential economic benefits
The volume-production ratio is the smallest in China: Compared with other domestic alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment with a hydrogen production capacity of 1000Nm³/h, the volume of the 1300Nm³/h electrolysis equipment has been reduced by more than one-third, and the volume-production ratio has dropped from 0.95 to 0.73, and equipment investment per unit of hydrogen production has been reduced by 25%.
Potential climate benefits
Internationally advanced DC energy consumption: The DC energy consumption of electrolytic cells is less than 4.2kWh/Nm3H2, which is significantly better than the national first-level energy efficiency standard for large electrolytic cells.

Solution details
The world's first commercial alkaline hydrogen production water electrolysis cell to achieve this scale and a current density of 6000 amps per square meter can produce 1300 standard cubic meters of hydrogen per hour, up to 1500 standard cubic meters. Its highest current density is 2 to 3 times that of current conventional electrolytic cells, its volume is more than one-third smaller than that of equipment of the same class, and its investment per unit of equipment can be reduced by 25%. The DC energy consumption is lower than that of standard cubic meters of hydrogen by 4.2 kilowatt-hours., significantly better than the national first-level energy efficiency standard for large electrolytic cells. The equipment will be connected to the fully domestically produced decentralized control system (DCS) to realize functions such as one-click start, unattended, remote monitoring, and equipment interconnection. The hydrogen production capacity of a single cell is the largest in the world: Under the operating pressure of 1.6MPa, the rated hydrogen production capacity of the electrolytic cell reaches 1300Nm³/h, and the maximum hydrogen production capacity can reach 1500Nm³/h. At the same time, it has 20%-115% broadband tuning hydrogen production capacity. The current density indicator is internationally leading: the highest current density of the electrolytic cell reaches 6000A/㎡, making it the first commercial alkaline water electrolytic cell in the world to achieve a high current density of 6000 A/㎡.
