Technical Description 1. Project Background In recent years, my country's leather industry has made great progress and has developed into a world leather processing, manufacturing and trade center. However, the environmental problems brought about by them have become increasingly serious. The treatment and utilization of chromium-containing leather waste has become an important factor restricting the sustainable development of my country's leather industry. Leather mills produce a large amount of leather sludge and leather debris during fur tanning and leather product cutting. The "Hazardous Waste List" promulgated in 2016 clearly lists "wastewater treatment sludge produced by chrome tanning and re-tanning processes with chrome tanning agents, and chromium-containing leather chips produced by leather cutting processes" as hazardous solid waste. Aiming at the problem that chromium element in leather waste will produce highly toxic hexavalent chromium during the incineration process.
2. Technological innovation points The main contents and key technologies of this achievement include: first, pretreatment of sludge, crushed materials and other wastes generated during the tanning process, and then high-temperature gasification of the wastes in an oxygen-free or reducing atmosphere. The organic matter in the waste fully reacts to produce raw gas containing components such as carbon monoxide, hydrogen and methane. After being quenched, desulfurized and purified, the raw gas can be obtained to obtain clean gas with high calorific value, which can be used to produce steam, synthetic ammonia, methanol and power generation. Chromium does not form highly toxic hexavalent chromium in oxygen-free or reducing atmosphere, but becomes high-purity Cr2O3, which can be recycled. Ash is stable in nature and will not leach out of harmful elements such as heavy metals, and can be used in the construction industry. System waste heat can by-produce steam. In this process, the energy and useful substances of the tannery waste are "eaten and squeezed" through energy recycling and cascade recycling after gasification of the waste, and the entire process does not require additional energy. The quality reduction rate of waste can reach more than 90%. At the same time, harmless treatment and resource utilization are achieved. They are green and environmentally friendly, and do not produce secondary pollutants such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and dioxins. It is expected to completely solve the problem of Cr pollution in leather waste.
3. Intellectual property related results have been filed for 3 national invention patents, of which 3 patents have been authorized: Method and special equipment for preparing gas by gasification of tanning waste ZL201210495226.4 A classification treatment equipment and process of tanning waste ZL201310485781.3 Fixed bed gasification device and treatment system including it, waste treatment method ZL201410150775.7
1. Technological maturity
2. Practicality and application fields of the technology Through the high-temperature harmless treatment of chromium-containing leather waste, clean gas can be prepared, high-purity Cr2O3 and steam can be by-produced, and at the same time, the cost of hazardous waste treatment can be greatly reduced for enterprises. This project can explore a practical way for the harmless treatment and high-value resource utilization of leather waste, effectively solve the problem of chromium pollution in leather waste, and meet the needs of my country's development of circular economy and ecological industry.
