Oil and natural gas is the most important energy source in my country. High-performance drill pipes and oil casings are the most important core components in oil and natural gas exploration. They are the pipes with the highest technical content and the most difficult to manufacture in steel pipe manufacturing. Focusing on improving several key technologies and automated equipment issues in the manufacturing of oil and gas well drill pipes and casings, this project has solved a series of technical problems:
- In response to the problem of automatic detection and straightening of the straightness at both ends of drill pipe, three core technologies have been broken through: (1) An automated integrated detection method with multiple parameters such as straightening blind zone, wobbling head, and 1.5m string height at both ends of drill pipe was invented, which provides a reliable basis for subsequent automatic straightening;(2) A straightening positioning method based on laser tracking has been researched and developed, which solves the technical problem that it is difficult for the end of drill pipe to accurately enter the straightening support ladder fixture through manual operation;(3) Research and develop a fully automatic straightening method with self-learning function, which realizes automatic pressure straightening of 24 specifications of drill pipes of different varieties, different pipe diameters, and different steel grades. The straightening effect exceeds the technical requirements of the American Petroleum Institute API Standard (equivalent to the international ISO standard).
- The integrated automatic follow-up detection method for the straightness and roundness of both ends of the oil casing has been invented, which overcomes the influence of harsh working conditions on the detection results during the detection process, realizes the real-time integrated detection of the straightness and roundness of both ends of the oil casing, provides accurate criteria for the straightening quality of the previous straightening process, provides reliable process data for subsequent flaw detection, pipe thread processing and other processes, improves product quality, and avoids labor and material waste in the manufacturing process.
- Breaking through the traditional thickening process that must be applied first, a new method of synchronous automatic thickening of inner and outer walls is innovatively adopted. Through real-time control of temperature field, punch pressure, metal deformation and hierarchical thickening process, the length of the end of the drill pipe is increased to more than 140mm, much higher than the 76.2 mm specified in the API standard, which greatly improves the fatigue life of the drill pipe.
- Two new methods for water quenching drill pipes have been designed: (1) Under the condition of greatly reducing the alloy content of new steel, combined with the self-developed automatic heat treatment of laminar cooling of the outer surface of the drill pipe, axial cooling of the inner surface, and rotation of the steel pipe, the average longitudinal impact toughness of the drill pipe body reaches 111J, which is much higher than the requirements of API standard 54J;(2) Accurately control the heat treatment temperature through liquid-gas combined automatic weld heat treatment process and equipment, multi-station high-efficiency induction heating cooling magnetic concentration device, fuzzy temperature control technology, etc., so that the average impact toughness of drill pipe welds is increased to 111J, which is much higher than the requirements of API standard 24J.
Through the above-mentioned technical inventions, Baosteel's manufacturing level of drill pipes and oil casings has been greatly improved on the basis of the original introduced technology. At present, the drill pipes manufactured by Baosteel are widely used in almost all oil fields in China, and have become the only supplier in China that can provide high-quality drill pipes to drilling and mining in areas with complex geological structures such as the Tarim Oilfield. Against the background of severe anti-dumping in the United States, Baosteel is also The only domestic company that can export high-performance drill pipes to the United States.
In addition to being promoted and applied within Baosteel, the patented technology related to this project is also promoted and applied in Shandong, Tianjin Steel Pipe Group Co., Ltd. and other enterprises. Fully automatic integrated testing technology and equipment for oil casing straightness and roundness have been exported to the United States for application.
Focusing on the above research content, 32 patents of various types have been applied, and 16 authorized invention patents, 1 software copyright, and 7 utility model patents have been authorized. After technical testing, scientific and technological novelty search and expert appraisal by professional authoritative organizations, the overall technology of the project has reached the international advanced level. Related technologies won the Excellence Award of the 2011 China Patent Award, the Silver Award of the 14th China International Industry Expo in 2012, and the Gold Medal of the 2011 National Invention Exhibition.
The project has produced good economic and social benefits. From 2010 to 2012, it achieved new sales revenue of 3.12875 billion yuan, new profits of 284.28 million yuan, new taxes of 94.75 million yuan, and foreign exchange earnings of 65.87 million US dollars.
