Introduction to the results:
According to the statistics of the National Bureau of Statistics, the sales volume of coatings in China in 2019 was 24.161 million tons, compared with 17.468 million tons in the same period last year, with a year-on-year growth of 38.32%, among which water-based coatings accounted for 30-40% of the total output of coatings. The 20,000 domestic coating-related companies, large and small, mainly need to solve the common key technical problems of the generally poor physical properties of water-based coatings.
At present, a large number of scientific and technological papers and patent achievements on the application of nanomaterials in water-based coatings have been accumulated at home and abroad to solve the problem of poor physical properties of water-based coatings. However, the industrialization requirements of some scientific and technological achievements are not in line with the actual situation of my country's current industry, and are manifested in the application technology of nanomaterials is complex and low cost performance, so there are very few industrialized products. The Green Additives Technology Innovation Center of Hefei University not only considers the properties of nanomaterials, but also closely connects with the water-based coating product processes involved. It uses high-speed dispersion and ultrasound, high-speed dispersion and high-pressure turbulence, high-speed dispersion and grinding to disperse nanomaterials with different structures, and focuses on cooperating with dozens of well-known, well-known and typical companies in the coating segment at home and abroad to solve common key technical problems in the coating segment, and developed solutions such as hardening, wear-resistance, scratch resistance, smoothness, anti-sticking, Low-cost functional additives such as anti-corrosion, heat resistance and antibacterial that can be industrialized allow most coating companies to transform and upgrade to green coatings without changing their original processes, and achieve product upgrades at the lowest cost.
Application prospects:
The industrially feasible and mature functional additive technology developed by the Green Additives Technology Innovation Center of Hefei University has been sent to more than 200 coating companies for evaluation, and about 80% of the companies can meet the expected performance requirements. According to a research report released by market research firm Markets and Markets, the global coating additives market will be valued at US275 million.
