The RPP2.3 dual-motor controller platform is the largest new energy power electronic product in the market since the establishment of the Power Drive Division of United Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd., and is also the first new energy product of United Automotive Electronics with the order of nearly 100,000. It has fully passed the market test and is of great significance. The project began development in 2014, and was successfully completed by the end of 2016, and the product was put on the market. Three years of hard work have yielded fruitful results. The successful batch production and volume increase of this project indicate that United Automotive Electronics has the ability to industrialize large quantities of new energy products, which means that UAES has the ability to develop large quantities of inverters and DC converters.(DC/DC) The development of these two core modules is more advanced. At the same time, compared with the products introduced from Bosch, the platform has comprehensive improved performance, greatly reduced costs, and has very strong market competitiveness. In order to further reduce costs through design while ensuring product quality, the RPP2.3 development team conducted comprehensive analysis and research, carried out a large number of innovative designs, and newly designed at least three functions that were not available in previous products, further consolidating the motor. Key capabilities in all aspects required for controller development. This project has now obtained 6 authorized invention patents and 3 authorized utility model patents. The key innovation points are as follows: 1) Digital DC DC converter optimizes synchronous rectification control, improves heat dissipation, and further improves DCDC performance and working temperature range;2) For the first time, multiple PWM water pump controls are realized, and full-pin accurate diagnosis is realized;3) High-voltage active discharge is compatible with multiple active discharge methods and is suitable for different harsh working conditions;4) Comprehensively designed for product failure safety, covering relative ground short circuit protection and abnormal disconnection protection of high-voltage relays; 5) Introduce DCDC off-line current calibration to improve current output accuracy;6) Use software to extract torque harmonic components to realize torque ripple compensation and improve torque characteristics. Compared with previous generation products, the cost is reduced by 10%, DCDC performance is improved by 6.25%, and the operating temperature range is expanded by 15%. The RPP2.3 platform is fully used in SAIC Roewe plug-in hybrid vehicle series, including the Roewe eRX5, ei6, e950, and Hanteng four-wheel drive hybrid project. It has been supplied in batches, and all performance indicators meet customer needs. At the same time, the RPP2.3 power electronic controller has completed test verification in Geely's plug-in hybrid project and is about to be approved for production. As of December 2018, cumulative sales were 1.11 billion yuan. Since the official batch production of the product at the end of 2016, the RPP2.3 power electronic controller application platform has been rapidly switched, and sales have grown rapidly. New product development will bring continued economic benefits to the company. Relying on the development of this project, a more complete system, software, hardware, machinery, and matching development team has been established, and extremely rich experience in mass production development has been accumulated. At the same time, by carrying out complete forward development of motor controllers, comprehensive R & D, testing and production as well as problem solving capabilities have been established. Based on this project, the supply chain system for domestic new energy vehicle electric drive systems has been further built, the technical research and development and industrialization capabilities of China's local new energy core components have been comprehensively improved, the healthy and rapid development of the new energy industry has been promoted, and the purchase and use costs of new energy vehicle end customers have contributed to the promotion and popularization of new energy vehicles in China.
