

Introduction to the results:
Based on the discharge characteristics of rural domestic sewage, the research team has developed a courtyard-type integrated rural sewage purification device. The device uses the "upflow anaerobic biological filter + underflow constructed wetland" series processing process. After treatment, the effluent can meet the "Urban Sewage Treatment Plant Pollutant Discharge Standards"(GB18918-2002) Level 1 B standard, which can be directly used for farmland irrigation or watering courtyard plants.
The courtyard-type integrated rural sewage purification device developed in this project has the following characteristics:
(1) The purification device can be buried or semi-aboveground type, with simple structure and convenient construction; it can be used by a single household or by several households.
(2) The device is simple to operate. Farmers can directly pour the wastewater generated every day into the device.
(3) Adopt undercurrent artificial wetland with a small area and can be planted with reeds, calamus or flowers to increase the aesthetics of the courtyard.
(4) The integrated device has no exposed water surface and will not produce mosquitoes, flies and odors.
(5) During the treatment process, sewage flows by gravity, has no power consumption and is convenient to manage. The septic tank only needs to be cleaned every six months or a year.
This technology and device are suitable for rural areas without centralized drainage pipe network systems, and are especially suitable for households that discharge sewage and wastewater in a scattered manner.
The applicable fields of this technical device are:Rural domestic sewage treatment. Build a courtyard-type integrated rural sewage purification device with an effective volume of 500L (external size 600×1200×800), with a project investment of 2,500 - 3,000 yuan, which can meet the needs of a family of five (based on the per capita displacement of 50L/person·day).
